So, here it is: You are graduating soon, searching tirelessly for jobs on LinkedIn and, minutes into your search, you are already daydreaming about what life would be like if you had the career of your dreams. The truth is, you can actually have it all, but not right now.

Hear me out!

As a current senior in college, I too want it all (and then some), but what I’ve gathered is that having it all means sacrifice, provision, hard work and sleepless nights that require several pots of coffee and a few snacks for added measure. Another thing I’ve realized is that having it all is not the glittering gold prize that many of us make it out to be.

Now, when I say that you can have it all but not right now, it’s not to crush your dreams. It’s an inspiration to place your fears, wants and worries into perspective. So often we worry about the opinions of others that we lose sight of what's important.

However, I am no stranger to fear. On a regular occasion, fear sets up space in my mind convincing me that I can’t do this or accomplish that. Sometimes I give in, listen and succumb to that mental pressure where there is actually no battle to be fought. To say that fear impacts me is an understatement. It tricks me into believing that I'm not good enough, qualified enough or talented enough to go after what I want until I finally make up in my mind and realize I am throwing a pity party for a guest of one.

In those moments, I realized that I did have it all — all of the doubt, negative thoughts, anxieties, worries and fear. Along the way I wanted to have it all so bad, that I did not specify what "all" meant and picked up negative opinions, people and anxiety along the way.

There was a moment in time when I sat down and reevaluated everything in my life. I thought long and hard about everything that was meant for me to have instead of thinking about what I thought I should have. No blinders, no excuses and no drama — just me and God.

Manifesting the life you desire is not going to look like some picture perfect Instagram post. It is tough and transformative work.

To manifest the life you want and to have it all according to plan, you have to be willing to let go of how you view your current situation. As women, we have to stop underestimating ourselves because of our circumstances, and not cut ourselves short because of a few setbacks.

However, my biggest tip of all when it comes to manifesting the life you want is to "write it down and make it plain." Be authentic when you write, and there’s no doubt your plans will begin to reveal themselves as soon as you begin honestly working toward them.

If you feel like you’ve made too many mistakes or have gone too far in one direction to go back, here’s a newsflash, sis: It is never too late to start over or to find your purpose in life. You have been molded for this moment!

If you take anything away, remember that having it all is not the light at the end of the tunnel, but instead it is a framework for what we yearn to accomplish and is only a small part of the journey. The biggest reward, however, is knowing how amazing the transformation will be in the end.
