After what has been a tumultuous few weeks for the Foxx family, things are finally looking up!
Fox announced Jamie Foxx and his daughter Corrine Foxx are set to co-host the music game show, “We Are Family” in 2024.
According to an official description, the show will feature non-famous relatives of celebrities performing duets with their hidden famous family member. There will be a studio audience comprised of 100 contestants. They will play through multiple rounds of clues and games to win up to $100,000. Contestants must correctly guess which celebrity the performer is related to before they are revealed. Celebrities appearing on ‘We Are Family’ will range from musicians and professional athletes to actors and beyond.
Corrine Foxx Corrects Media Outlet
The show is slated for a tentative 2024 premiere. News of the upcoming project arrives just days after Corrine Foxx dispelled rumors, heavily reported by the social media blog Daily Loud. The outlet reported that Foxx’s father’s health had slipped into critical condition.
“Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild,” Foxx wrote in an Instagram post on May 12. “My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday!”
Foxx closed out her statement by thanking fans for their prayers and support.
“We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!” she wrote.
Jamie Foxx’s Medical Scare
Foxx’s update officially cleared the air on the uncertain health status of the ‘Dreamgirls’ actor. On April 12, Foxx, took to her Instagram story to share that her dad was going through a medical emergency. The incident left him hospitalized for a week.
“Luckily, due to quick action and care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time,” the since-deleted statement read.
According to People, the health emergency forced a rescheduling of his upcoming Netflix movie Back in Action. The film also stars Cameron Diaz, who came out of retirement to be a part of the project.
