Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett has been snatching up her fellow Congress members since she was elected to represent Texas’ 30th district in 2023. She is unafraid to call out hypocrisies and inconsistencies in the name of public service.

Whether it’s calling out insults toward Vice President Kamala Harris or criticizing Project 25 and the Heritage Foundation, she does not hold back. As a Missouri native and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Congresswoman Crockett is making history.

She was the sole Black freshman and the youngest Black lawmaker in Texas during the 87th Legislative Session. She also filed more bills than any other freshman. Her passion is fueled by a desire to serve the North Texas families who elected her and to protect the civil liberties of people in underrepresented communities.

Here are seven viral clips of Crockett clapping back on the Congress floor.

‘White Privilege’ Remark Reaction

Congresswoman Crockett responded to Rep. Nancy Mace’s comment, where she said that Hunter Biden he is “the epitome of white privilege” for showing up at the hearing after ignoring the Oversight Committee’s subpoena to give a closed-door deposition.

“I can’t get over the gentle lady from South Carolina talking about white privilege,” she said. “It was a spit in the face, at last of mine, as a Black woman, for you to talk about what white privilege looks like, especially from that side of the aisle.”

Calling Out Project 2025 as ‘the Playbook for Authoritarianism’

Rep. Crockett exposed Hamilton’s work on the controversial and extreme policy proposals detailed in the Project 2025. The pillars of 2025 call for the elimination of the Department of Education and the Department of Commerce, deploying the military for the use of domestic law enforcement against protesters, and the repealing of federal employees to allow the president to replace them with unqualified partisan loyalists.

“I don’t know why or how anybody can support Project 2025,” she said. “Project 2025 is giving the playbook for authoritarianism as well as the next dictator.”

Rep. Crockett Educates Rep. Jim Jordan on the Three Branches of Government

Rep. Crockett called out former President Donald Trump’s 34 felony convictions. She shut down Rep. Jim Jordan’s casting doubt on Trump’s convicted felon status and the narrative that the government was unconstitutionally weaponized against him.

“Something is different about what is going on today,” she said. “I just wanted to clarify because I thought I was living in ‘the upside down’ for a second.”

Rep. Crockett Questions the Credibility of a Key Witness

Rep. Crockett shut down impeachment inquiry witness Tony Bobulinski during a committee hearing. She claimed that Bobulinski and Republican politicians fabricated allegations of wrongdoing by the president to help former President Donald Trump in the 2024 election.

“When someone comes to testify under oath – whether it’s before this committee behind closed doors or in person – then we have to evaluate someone’s credibility,” she said. “Sir, I definitely have always had issues with your credibility.”

Reminding Republicans That Trump Added $8 Trillion to National Deficit

Crockett reminds the GOP that the national debt rose by trillions of dollars in Trump’s one term as president.

Rep. Crockett Speaks Out Against Ukraine Misinformation

Rep. Crockett disparaged Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for suggesting Hamas may have obtained U.S. weapons through Ukraine and for sharing a claim backed by Russian President Vladimir Putin about the presence of Nazism in Ukraine.

“We have people in this chamber that are actually causing just as much of a threat, if not more of a threat, to our own country,” she said. “We should be talking about holding our very own people accountable for the misinformation and disinformation they are spreading.”

Rep. Crockett Speaks on Regulations at Environmental Protection Agency Hearing

Congresswoman Crockett responded to anti-regulatory Republicans.

“There’s a lot of conversations about rolling back regulation,” she said. “Regulations are made to protect people from potential disasters.”
