Jennifer Hudson and Common spent what appeared to be a “romantic weekend” in London. According to Daily Mail, the suspected couple visited the city to watch the new musical “A Strange Loop.” Dating rumors have circulated for months about Hudson and Common, but both have yet to confirm their relationship status.
Hudson is one of the five producers of the the award-winning show, coined “the new ‘Hamilton,'” by critics. Although the TV host and rapper arrived separately, the pair took photos together backstage with cast members. However, Daily Mail reported that, according to sources, Hudson and Common were together during the evening.
“Jennifer and Common have been trying to keep their relationship low-profile,” the source claimed. “There has been speculation for months regarding whether or not they are together, but the fact they’ve traveled all the way to London together just shows they’re very much an item.”
The source continued, “They arrived to the show individually to avoid any commotion but away from prying eyes. They were very much in each other’s company.”
Dating Rumors
Hudson and Common have been friends for years and starred alongside each other in the upcoming movie “Breathe.” They were spotted together earlier this year, including during a stroll through the Chicago suburbs.
The dating rumors were further fueled when Hudson wished Common a happy birthday on Instagram, which had many fans wondering if the two were an in fact an item.
When the “Glory” rapper visited the “Today Show,” he was asked if he was dating the “Dreamgirls” actress. He didn’t confirm or deny the hosts’ speculations but did speak highly of Hudson.
“I’ll say, speaking of Chicago, she’s a Chicagoan, this amazing human being — I’ve always been inspired by her,” he told the show’s hosts. “She’s one of the most beautiful people I ever met on the planet. Incredible heart, and she’s just dope, man.”
In 2017, the former “The Voice UK” coach split from her longtime boyfriend, David Otunga. They dated for a decade and share a 13-year-old son, David Daniel Otunga Jr. Common has previously been linked to tennis star Serena Williams and actress Tiffany Haddish.
