John Boyega knows what he wants and he is sticking beside it. In a recent interview with “British GQ,” the actor opened up about his dating preferences. In another interview with “The Breakfast Club,” he added some more insight on his stance.

In a recent conversation with British GQ, Boyega said that he only dates Black women.
“I only date Black,” said Boyega, “then it’s about chemistry, personality, goals. Is there a synergy? Can I help you? Can you help me?”
With that revelation, he also shared that privacy is important to him because of his role as a public figure. Boyega also discussed discipline and said that he is particular about they type of women that he associates with.
“I’m very disciplined in the type of women I speak to. They don’t want you in their business,” said Boyega. The 30-year-old shared that he is inspired by his parents who have been in a long-term marriage.
“There’s nothing that this world can do in terms of pressure to make me be inspired by anything else but my parents,” said Boyega.
He also spoke out about growth and priorities.
“I’m 30 now. From 28, I just worked on getting peace and getting myself together,” said Boyega. “Moving with honesty and transparency. No misleading. No lying. And being devoted to what I commit myself to.”

Breakfast Club
While on The Breakfast Club, the “The Woman King” actor doubled down on his comments, adding that it was easier for him to be with a Black woman because of similar backgrounds, realities and understandings of non-verbal and social cues.
