Latto has released a remix to “Put It On Da Floor” and it features fellow rapper Cardi B. The 24-year-old Atlanta native initially teased the song during her Coachella performance in April. She released it that month. This is Latto’s first collaboration with Cardi B. This remix is titled “Put It On Da Floor Again” and maintains the trap bounce of the original song.

Some Controversy

The release of “Put It On Da Floor” was followed by some controversy. The controversy can be traced to a line in the song that the rapper, Coi Leray considered a diss. “Smokin’ on that gas, blunt big as Coi Leray,” Latto rapped. Leray took to Twitter to call Latto out in a series of tweets.

“Latto bye . Here you go taking about my body. Please do not come on here and talk about nobody BODY. Lol like seriously . Out of all things,” Leray wrote.

Latto, quickly cleared the air during week two of Coachella.

“Aye Coi, Btw I love yo body baby,” she said in between her performances.

A New Spin

“Put It On da Floor Again” is Cardi B’s first feature of the year. The “Bodak Yellow” star is known for collaborating with emerging or fast-rising female acts. Last year, she was featured on “Shake It,” “The Seaweed Sway” and the extremely popular “Tommorrow 2” with Glorilla.

Cardi also referenced college basketball player Angel Reese in her rap.

“I’ve been ballin so damn hard could’ve went to LSU,” she said.

Reese appeared in the video for “Put It On da Floor Again” as did Cardi B’s partner Offset. The video sees Latto and Cardi shopping and getting up to no good. It’s a glittery, hype set-up that complements the bouncy flow of the track.

The remix has been well received so far with both Cardi and Angel Reese trending on Twitter after the videos release.
