The 2022 MTV Movie and TV Awards was a night to remember. As many shows and actors went home with well deserved trophies. After the event however, there is a second show you may or may not have missed! The MTV Movie and TV Awards: UNSCRIPTED. It is the version of the awards show for unscripted reality series.
UNSCRIPTED’s host for the night, Tayshia Adams, held down the awards show, but left some people who are unfamiliar with the bachelorette wondering, who is she? We’re here to break down this Black girl magic for you.

If you don’t follow any Bachelor Nation updates (it’s okay, this is a safe space) then you may be unaware of who Tayshia Adams is and her relevance to the reality TV scene. Tayshia was originally introduced to the small screen back in 2019 on the 23rd season of The Bachelor. After she was eliminated, she returned to the franchise later that year to be a contestant on Bachelor in Paradise. She then became the season 16 Bachelorette in 2020 and even cohosted season 17. In 2021, she accepted the “Best Dating Show” on The Bachelorette’s behalf at the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted.

Tayshia has since been THEE it girl and focused on being an influencer. She has had several partnerships with brands such as Lancome, Fabletics, and Asics. She travels the world, eats good food and does it all in style. No wonder MTV booked her to host thsi year’s Unscripted awards!
