If Zodiac signs were superlatives, the Leo sign would be “most likely to be famous.” The Leo sign can’t help being in the spotlight. People with this sign are often natural-born creatives, leaders and insanely confident. This is probably why there are so many Leo celebrities.

From her earth-shaking acting roles to age-defying workout routines, and Halle Berry always has “all eyes on her.” Berry is the first Black person to win an Oscar for Best Actress. Known for her roles in “Catwoman,” “The Call” and “Boomerang,” Berry always portrays the confident female heroine. Outside of entertainment, the actress also has a kind spirit. Leo’s are characterized as very generous, especially regarding those in need.

Whitney Houston is one of the greatest singers to ever live. Houston, who passed away in 2012, still holds the Guinness World Record for the most awarded female artist of all time. The songstress had one of the most beautiful voices, with hits including “I Have Nothing,” “Run To You,” and “I Will Always Love You.” Leaning into her Leo energy, Houston easily captivated crowds with just the sound of her voice.

Viola Davis

When it comes to acting, Viola Davis is a force. From her roles in “How To Get Away With Murder” to “The Help,” Davis has no trouble keeping people’s attention. The EGOT winner really embodied her Leo characteristics while playing the lead role in the 2022 film “The Woman King.” She played female war general Nanisca, inspired by the Agojie all-female warrior group from the West African kingdom of Dahomey. Surprisingly, Leo signs are represented by lions, an animal named the king of the jungle.

Meghan Markle’s Leo characteristics shine through. Markle’s whirlwind marriage to Prince Harry solidified her as a historical Black female figure in British Royalty. The Duchess of Sussex was seemingly born to be appreciated by many. Even before her relationship with Prince Harry, Markle starred in the law series “Suits” for multiple seasons. Like other Leo’s, Markle lives for giving back to her community. She’s been a World Vision ambassador since 2016.

Marsai Martin is already a sweeping force in Hollywood. Martin was just 9 years old when she joined the ABC series “Black-ish,” which ran for eight seasons. In 2014, she produced the 2019 film “Little,” starring alongside Issa Rae. The film made Martin the youngest Black woman executive producer in Hollywood. Now, along with starring in films, the actress has secured partnerships with high profile brands such as Clinique. In 2024, she became the first  brand ambassador and partner producer for the legacy skincare brand. At just 20 years old, Martin’s ambitious Leo energy is already sprinkled throughout her career achievements.
