“You are what you consume,” and that not only applies to the literal food that you ingest, but to the food that you feed yourself mentally as well.

What we ingest visually or mentally affects our well-being emotionally. It creates a reality for us that may not necessarily be our truth. We have to be just as vigilant about the food we feed our mental selves as we are about the food we feed our physical selves. Social media is a great place to start. Have you ever noticed that following certain people may disturb your peace? You feel anxious, and you may experience brief episodes of depression or feelings of unproductiveness. This is because the content you are consuming isn’t aligned with you or your needs. Your feed doesn’t have to stay that way. You can change it. Simply assess your energy for about a week, then assess which accounts impede your peace and unfollow those accounts. Take it a step further and unfollow those accounts that do not align with you or your needs. After you do a bit of housekeeping and tidy up your timeline, follow these accounts for good vibes, energy and inspiration.
