Megan Thee Stallion has returned to the stage less after Tory Lanez was sentenced last week for shooting her in the foot. She performed at the Outside Lands Music Festival at the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, California and even had a message to share with her “haters.”

A Message After Sentencing

In a pink body suit and red curly hair, the rapper to perform some of her top songs for her fans in San Francisco. During a brief intermission from the performance, she took a moment to seemingly address the hate she received from many people online and in blogs. She also praised her fans for holding her down during that time.

She began by scolding the “haters” for their words online and that none of what “you was doing or saying broke me.” Megan then said the same didn’t break her hotties either.

During the trial last year, Megan Thee Stallion faced a lot of scrutiny from people in the industry, blogs, and users online. It was even believed that Drake referenced her and the incident in a song.

In the song “Circo Loco,” featured on Drake’s joint album with 21Savage, Drake referenced a woman in a line that stated “lie ’bout gettin’ shots, but she still a stallion.” Lil Yachty later came out to say that the line wasn’t about the “body” rapper but many fans online did not believe him.

Joe Budden has even made comments about Megan Thee Stallion.

On his “Joe Budden Podcast,” he went into detail how he disliked the rapper because he saw “this woman do horrible things to some really great people that I have [a] longstanding relationship with here in this industry.”

He later publicly apologized to her. Budden said his jokes about her mental health were careless and whether people believe her or not, it’s not their place to speak on it.

Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison after being found guilty of three felonies in relation to shooting Megan Thee Stallion in both of her feet in 2020.
