Hotties, be on the lookout. The hot girl coach, Megan Thee Stallion, has given fans a sneak peek at her in the studio and possibly cooking up new music.
The Houston rapper took to her Instagram stories to share a look at her studio setup. On the video she wrote, “I’m back in that mode. It’s that time.”
The possibility of new music from the rapper gives her fans a bit of relief as they have been receiving mixed messages from the hot girl. Back in March, after a three-month hiatus from social media and general public appearances, Megan Thee Stallion walked the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. When speaking to Entertainment Tonight on the carpet, she was asked if she was working on new music.
“Oh, I am. New album,” she responded confidently.
However, in an interview with InStyle in May, she stated that she would get back to music eventually.
“Fans can expect new music when I’m in a better place,” she said. “The music and entertainment industry can be a grind. So, it’s important to take time off and avoid burning out,” she continued. “Life is all about balance.”
Megan Thee Stallion’s Break From Music
The last project Megan Thee Stallion released was her 2022 album, “Traumazine.” She’s often referenced how different the project was from any of the others she has done. When speaking with Apple Music 1’s Ebro Darden and Nadeska, Megan shared that she doesn’t write songs about how she feels.
“I write songs about how I want to feel,” she explained. “So I feel like, on this album, it’s probably the first time I figured out how to talk about what I want to say.”
The album drop came at a time when she was in the middle of a legal battle with her former label, 1501 Records. Additionally, the trial against Tory Lanez was about to begin. In that case Lanez was found guilty of shooting Meg Thee Stallion. After the verdict, the Houston rapper took a well-needed break to tend to her mental health.
