“Real Housewives of Atlanta” veteran NeNe Leakes has revealed she is open to returning to the mainstay reality series. Leaks departed “RHOA” after season 12, and fans have felt it ever since. The show still has two key players – Kandi Burruss and Kenya Moore. However, many feel the series is missing the antics and commentary of Leakes, Porsha Williams, and Kim Zolciak. All three women were known to bring the heat and drama to the screen.
In a brief interview with TMZ, Leakes admitted she knew her absence left a massive hole in the Bravo series. The reality star was asked whether “RHOA” needed its OG members back on the show.
“Well, I would just say, check the ratings,” she responded. “That should give you an answer.”
She also said she would be open to returning to the show.
“I would come back for the fans,” she said. “Because the fans are the ones that love me … they’re the ones that love to see me in that position. And I would do anything for them.”
According to US Weekly, Leakes filed a lawsuit against Bravo and Andy Cohen over an alleged racist and hostile work environment. Therefore, it may be a while before Leakes pops back on “RHOA.” But fans can always hope.
NeNe Leakes Reaches Out To Former Co-star
During the interview, Leakes also mentioned that she reached out to Zolciak following the news of her former co-star’s divorce. Zolciak’s husband, Kroy Biermann, filed for divorce from his wife in May. Since then, it has been a messy situation for both. Although once sworn enemies, Leakes said she wanted to show her support after the news broke.
“Every divorce is hard, especially with kids involved,” she said.
Leakes explained to TMZ that similarly, Zolciak reached out to her during some of own her lowest points, including the passing of her husband, Gregg Leakes, in 2021.
