Keke Palmer is embracing motherhood following the birth of her son Leodis Andrellton Jackson. That includes adding all the new mom must-have items to her shopping cart. A quick scroll through her recent social media posts shows that Palmer has acquired some of the top baby items available on the market.Â
A Pregnancy Filled With Joy
Palmer confirmed her pregnancy while hosting SNL in December. It didn’t come as much surprise as speculation was swirling that the star was a soon-to-be mommy. The child’s father is Darius Jackson. The brother of Sarunas Jackson — an actor best known for his role on the HBO hit series, Insecure. Darius Jackson is an aspiring actor with his own YouTube channel. On Instagram Palmer and Jackson shared funny videos leading up to Leodis’ birth including some showing Palmer dancing in a bra and panties with her bump.
Motherhood Suits Her
On February 27, Palmer took to her Instagram account to announce Leodis’ birth. It was our first glimpse at some of the baby items the new parents chose for their little one. Since then, Palmer has continued to discuss motherhood. In one much talked about post she applauded single parents for handling child rearing on their own. Palmer even teared up as she discussed how, for her, it has taken a village to help raise Leodis.
“If you’re a single parent, pull off your cape,” Palmer told her followers. “I’m really, in my heart, it brings tears to my eyes. I am just truly, profoundly impressed.”
In another video we see Keke happily serenading her infant baby boy as she swaddles him.
Throw It In The Bag
In Palmers most recent Instagram post, she poses near a body of water with a stroller. In the caption she explains that motherhood is teaching her about balance. She also explains how she discovered the world of mommy shopping.
“I have so many things bagged in my Amazon cart, haven’t quite pulled the place the order button but it feels good just adding it to the cart,” Palmer wrote to her followers.
While we can’t know for sure what Palmer has stashed away in her “save for later” Amazon cart, we do know, from carefully reviewing her Instagram post, what she already purchased. 21Ninety has scoured the internet to find these Keke approved new mom must-have baby products and brands. Check them out below.
Nuna MIXX Next Stroller
In Keke’s stroller post, we can clearly see the brandname Nuna emblazoned across the stroller’s shade. This popular company is often at the top of baby registries and for good reason.
Though pricey, parent’s give the stroller high marks. They love its mix of style and strength. The stroller is sleek and lightweight enough to be pushed with just one hand. It has all-wheel suspension and is easy to maneuver. The stroller comes with a toddler seat that can be adapted for an infant using an insert. The seat also fully reclines. If you’d like another infant option, a bassinet can be purchased separately. While out and about your little one will be protected thanks to the UPF 50 canopy. This is a single stroller so if you’re considering having two children close in age give the Nuna Demi Grow Stroller a try. It can be converted into a two child system.
Nuna PIPA Infant Car Seat & Base
On Palmer’s Instagram, we get a glimpse of baby Loedis riding along with his parents in a Nuna car seat. It’s hard to tell from the short clip exactly what Nuna seat it is but based on Palmer’s stroller choice it’s likely the popular PIPA. This carseat is a favorite of many parents and exceeds American safety standards. It’s roomy and plush and ideal for city living. Although it comes with a base, using it is not necessary. Users can install in taxis and Ubers without a base. A great option for parents in large cities who don’t regularly utilize their own vehicles.
Sublime Hands-Free Pumping & Nursing Bra
We saw Keke wear this bra while cutting a rug with little Leodis still in utero. In the comments, Palmer’s followers begged for the brand name of the nude colored bra. Palmer responded saying that the child’s father was responsible for the purchase and gifted it to her. We dug around and found out it’s made by clothing brand Kindred Bravely. On the brand’s site they call this bra a game-changer for postpartum moms. The bra is for nursing and hands-free pumping. The all-in-one bra means no more outfit changes between pumping and feeding. It securely fits all standard pump flanges. It has a hook-and-eye closure and is underwire free with removable padding.
Blabla Rivier The Elephant
In one of the first pictures of Leodis, Palmer shared with her followers, we see the sweet boy snuggled up with a cute stuffed elephant. Blabla Kids is the maker and we love how chic Rivier The Elephant is. The stuffed toy is made from 100 percent cotton knit. It’s designed in the U.S. and handmade in Peru. If Rivier doesn’t win you over, the brand has plenty of other adorable plushies that your child might enjoy.
Coterie Diapers
In one of her Instagram posts before Leodis was born, Palmer announced a giveaway in partnership with Coterie. She told her followers that the brand is dedicated to high performance diapering products. Palmer also mentioned that Coterie diapers are very absorbent and safe. Say less Keke! We checked out Coterie’s site and found they offer diapers in a range of sizes on a monthly plan. The site says the diapers minimize leaks, blowouts, and diaper rash. They are designed for better sleep, hypoallergenic and soft as cashmere.
