Since the early 2000s, weight loss trends have come and gone. However, Ozempic, the popular injectable diabetes medication gaining fame as a weight loss wonder drug, doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. Slowing down the emptying of the stomach, Ozempic helps regulate the absorption of glucose after meals. This helps prevent sharp spikes in blood sugar levels after eating. It also works to regulate appetite, which can lead to lower food intake and cause weight loss.
While there are many celebrities who have allegedly used Ozempic for weight loss, only a few have actually admitted to it. Here are five Black celebrities with impressive before and after results after Ozempic.

If there’s one thing media mogul Oprah Winfrey isn’t shy about addressing, it’s her weight. With that being a topic of conversation for decades, she’s openly attributed to her slimmed-down figure to the prescription drug.
“I come to this conversation with the hope that we can start releasing the stigma and the shame and the judgment, to stop shaming other people for being overweight or how they choose to lose, or not lose, weight and, most importantly, to stop shaming ourselves,” said the talk show host in December 2023 during her “Shame, Blame and the Weight Loss Revolution” special.
