P-Valley” season 2 finale spoilers follow.

Season 2 of “P-Valley” just wrapped up and the last episode left us with a lot of good, bad and unexpected cliff hangers.

One cliff hanger in particular involved character Autumn Hailey Lakeisha Savage played by actress Elarica Johnson. Creator Katori Hall, who directed the finale, revealed to Entertainment Weekly that this is likely to be the last we’ll see of her.

It’s so clear that the strip club is a revolving door,” she said. “For Autumn Hailey Lakeisha Savage, The Pynk has been a place where she has dealt with a lot of trauma, has found friends and lost friends. She was a woman who came in on the wind and her leaving on the wind. She saved The Pynk, she did something that Uncle Clifford could not at the time. She changed The Pynk, but she was changed by The Pynk and her relationship with Mercedes [because] she was able to, for the first time in her life, feel like a sister… The fact that she is leaving with not one, but maybe two babies in her belly is a sign of hope.”

While her exiting the show might’ve been a surprise to us, Elarica Johnson knew it was happening because it was her choice.

It’s something I discussed with Katori Hall. Looking at the scripts this season, and the journeys of the characters and where the Pynk was going, Autumn’s journey felt like it was coming to an end. She has done what she needed to do and it was time for her to move on.”

She also spoke about the mark her character Autumn left on Chucaliss.

A huge mark and there’s going to be a big space moving on. She was a big personality and was the keyhole into Chucalissa and the Pynk for the audience. They met these characters through the eyes of Autumn early on and now that everyone’s acquainted, it’s time for her to leave. Even within her broken relationships, they came form a really nice place. Uncle Clifford will miss the daily arguments with Autumn, but also getting to understand who she was and seeing the softer part of her. The same goes for Mercedes. They learned a lot from each other. The note she leaves on isn’t the best, but she definitely leaves a history with the Pynk and made a big difference on how things will move forward. “

Other surprises viewers saw on the finale was Mercedes finally getting her studio and daughter back in her life, Clifford and Lil Murda being open about their relationship with friends and family, Clifford getting ownership back over The Pynk and unfortunately Miss Mississippi ended up in jail thanks to her no good, abusive husband.

A third season hasn’t been confirmed yet, but a few cast members have said that their up for it and fans are definitely expecting a return. P-Valley is available to stream now on STARZ.
