There are so many beauty conferences and expos that bring makeup and skin care lovers together to celebrate some of their favorite products and most tried-and-true techniques. But if you're looking for an all-natural, indie brand experience, you need to check out Project Beauty Expo.

Their mission is to represent multicultural women in the beauty industry by providing an intimate space for them to bond, learn and grow from each other in the beauty, wellness and lifestyle categories. Whether you're a consumer, a maker or an artisan, there's a space for you to share your love of these things with other like-minded women of color.

The founder of PBE, Brittany Brown, fell in love with skin care after she graduated from college. After replacing products within her own routine with natural alternatives, she launched Moneé, her own skincare line. She wanted to make sure there were other women and people of color in this space, and thus Project Beauty Expo was born.

The brands highlighted include conscious, indie brands, and there will be tons of talented panelists sharing their valuable perspectives and stories from the industry. Look forward to talks from Lauren Napier of Lauren Napier Beauty, Vic Styles of Here Now Us, Lauren Ash of Black Girl In Om and more.

If you attend, look out for gift bags sponsored by brands including Farmacy, Rooted Treasure and more, and be sure to enjoy the complimentary express manicures from Sundays NYC. If you love beauty, this event is for you.

On Sunday, August 13 the expo comes to New York City at the White Space Chelsea from 1 – 6 p.m. If you're looking for tickets, click here to find out more information.
