Actress Raven-Symoné made everyone she has dated sign a non disclosure agreement. Recently, the former child star visited the “Howie Mandel Does Stuff” podcast. While there she shared the NDA revelation about her former relationships. She also mentioned the list of signees includes her now-wife, Miranda Maday. She says the cautious move is to prevent anyone from publicly sharing information about their relationship.
“All of my relationships, especially, obviously, when I started dating, I had to get people to sign NDAs,” she said. “It took me a while to wrap my head around it because it’s very impersonal, but someone in our position needs to do that.”
The podcast host asked her when she presents the NDA, and Raven-Symoné replied, “Before the naughty times come.”
“No, I’m serious — right before naughty time comes,” she jokingly continued.
The singer explained how this is a part of celebrity life and how quickly things like hashtags can change how one has an intimate relationship with another. The “Raven’s Home” star also revealed that she made her now wife sign an NDA two months into their relationship. She recalled that “her moment was crazy.”
“We were in New York. We were in this outdoor French type of restaurant, and my mom had been bugging me,” Raven-Symoné said. “She was like, ‘You got to get it signed. I’m like, ‘She’s from the industry.’ And my mom was bugging me.”
However, at first, she hesitated to ask that Maday sign because she felt she was different. And according to Raven-Symoné, Maday felt the same way. Despite everyone’s reluctancy, Maday signed the NDA.
“We both were like, ‘This takes away the genuineness of it all, but we also understood that we live in Hollywood,'” Raven said. “She knows who she is. So she did it.”
The two tied the knot in 2020.
