Although Rihanna has had a career of breaking records and making history, she is nowhere close to finished. She has now become the first female artist to have ten songs with over 1 billion streams on Spotify.

Friday, a report was released confirming the news. She then took to social media to post her newest win.

“Bad Gal billi,” she wrote on both Twitter and Instagram. She referenced her status as the youngest self-made female billionaire in the U.S.

“Wit no new album,” she continued.

The singer has not released a new album since 2016 but still makes a large impact. After having her first baby boy, Rza, just last year, the singer came back to the stage in February. While performing at Super Bowl LVII’s halftime show Rihanna revealed her second pregnancy. She opened up the performance by rubbing off her baby bump, indicating that she was pregnant once again with her and partner, A$AP Rocky’s second child.

This was the first halftime show under Apple Music after Pepsi ended its partnership with the event in 2022. Rihanna performed many of her hits like “Rude Boy” and “Where Have You Been.” Rihanna also had a spot where she carefully showed her Fenty Beauty brand, which helped the brand earn a whopping $5.6 million in sales just 12 hours after the event.

Rihanna’s New Music

In a March interview with British Vogue, she shared the pressure of putting out an album after what she considers her “most brilliant” and “most cohesive album,” Anti.

“There’s this pressure that I put on myself. That if it’s not better than that then it is not even worth it,” she explained.

“It is toxic. It’s not the right way to look at music because music is an outlet and a space to create, and you can create whatever. It doesn’t have to even be on any scale. It just has to be something that feels good. It could just be a song that I like. It literally could be that simple,” she continued.

The singer did, however, release her first song in seven years, “Lift Me Up” in October 2022. The song was featured on the soundtrack for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
