Savannah James is one the most prominent WAGs that everyone loves to love! She always shows up and shows out for her husband, LeBron James and the the 2023 ESPY Awards were no different.

During the annual event, Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James delivered a speech addressing the on going retirement rumors surrounding him. Sports analysts and fans alike believed that after this last NBA season, the basketball veteran would be taking time away from the court, permanently. The athlete took to the stage to announce that he will not be retiring and has plans to enter his 21st season in the league.
“I don’t care how many more points I can score or what I can or can’t do on the floor,” James said in an acceptance speech for Best Record-Breaking Performance.
The award commemorated him surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on the NBA’s all-time scoring list last season.
Before coming up to accept the honor, Savannah James and their children, Zhuri, Bronny and Bryce came out to present the award to the patriarch of the family. Savannah began her speech by getting some things off her chest.
“Tonight is about LeBron James. The legend, the king, and yes, the G.O.A.T,” she said before a video presentation about James played. Once it finished, she took the opportunity to brag about her husband in her own words.
“I want to tell you what I think,” she began. “I think LeBron James is the baddest mother..” Savannah said before being stopped by daughter Zhuri.
“Mom!” Zhuri said to her, cutting her off before she could swear on national television. The crowd burst out into laughter.
“I think LeBron James is the baddest to ever set foot on a basketball court,” Savannah continued seriously after the light-hearted moment. “Nobody works harder. Nobody cares more. And nobody has done more for the game of basketball than LeBron James.”
What Savannah Wore
When Savannah took the ESPYs stage, she not only showed up for her husband, but she also showed out in her fit. Her glittery bodycon maxi dress was a couture design by Georges Hobeika. The dress was embroidered with red and maroon beads and included sheer portions that amped up the dresses sultry appeal.
Savannah shared a backstage picture of her in the dress on her Instagram. She also shared another, black and white look she wore at the show. In the caption she referenced her quick change for the night.
