Olympia Ohanian is officially a big sister! Serena Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian have welcomed their second child together. Ohanian made the exciting announcement on Instagram that Williams gave birth to a healthy baby girl.
“Welcome, Adira River Ohanian. I’m grateful to report our house is teaming with love: a happy & healthy newborn girl and happy & healthy mama. Feeling grateful. @serenawilliams you’ve now given me another incomparable gift — you’re the GMOAT,” he wrote. “I’ll never forget the moment I introduced @olympiaohanian to her baby sister.”
Ohanian shared multiple photos of baby Adira’s first moments. In one followers see a glimpse of the infants face and what looks to be a head full of hair. In it the family posed together while Williams held Adira, and Ohanian admired his wife. He also revealed the first time he introduced the two sisters to each other at the hospital.
Olympia was all smiles as she met he sibling.
Gender Reveal
Earlier this month, the couple revealed they would be welcoming a girl in a YouTube video.
Friends and family gathered, repping the infamous “team boy” or “team girl” necklaces as they waited to find out the gender of Williams’ second child. And Williams and Ohanian learned their future baby’s gender in quite the elaborate manner. A drone show spelled out the word, “Girl!”
Williams and Olympia were elated that another girl was joining the family.
Serena Williams’ Second Pregnancy
Williams announced her second pregnancy during the MET Gala earlier this year in a very stylish way. The couple dressed in Gucci from head to toe as Williams showed off her baby bump.
“Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the 3 of us to the Met Gala,” she wrote.
Williams has posted videos of her pregnancy journey on her YouTube Channel throughout her pregnancy. She has shared videos like “My Belly Routine featuring Olympia,” “My Pregnancy Workouts,” and more.
