Never count Sha'Carri Richardson out when it comes to persistence and beating the odds! The track and field star may have been banned from competing in this month's Tokyo Olympic Games from a failed drug test, but she's still running her own race as the centerpiece in an all-new 'Beats' commercial, which also features a new song from Kanye West.

Just a few weeks after Richardson's negative drug test made headlines, the elite athlete resurfaced in Beat By Dre's ad – which aired during Game 6 of the 2021 NBA Finals – for a lush visual that debuted a sample of a new track from West's forthcoming Donda album reportedly dropping this Friday. In the one-minute slo-mo commercial, West's voice is heard echoing the lyrics "He’s done miracles on me" from his song “No Child Left Behind" in a pair of Beats by Dre earbuds as Richardson takes her natural spot on the track on her starting blocks. She's then seen under bright shining field lights warming up for a race donning her signature bright colored hair and long acrylic nails.

The ad ended with a tagline that reads "live your truth" – a message that closely resonates with Richardson after she revealed the real reason she tested positive for marijuana earlier this month. Beats By Dre even tweeted a clip of the ad with the caption"[Sha'Carri Richardson] doesn't need you to let her do anything."

Richardson's latest ad campaign arrives in the wake of her one-month suspension that has left the fan-favorite athlete out of the world's biggest sporting event of the year. Despite the media scrutiny, the sprinter has still managed to maintain her core fanbase of people who still support her, including her brand partners like Nike who made a public statement in her name.

“We appreciate Sha’Carri’s honesty and accountability and will continue to support her through this time," the brand said. Fans were excited to see Richardson continue to push through the backlash and snag a major sponsorship. Following her suspension, she's slated to return to racing in the Prefontaine Classic next month.
