In honor of Mother’s Day, singer Summer Walker took to Instagram to share a heartfelt post with photos of her at-home, water birth.
Walker’s post consisted of photos of her: standing in front of the birth pool while holding a water hose, a photo of her entire birth-room set-up, a photo of Erykah Badu, a photo of her sitting on a large workout ball, a photo of her watching Spongebob Squarepants, her being assisted through her delivery, giving birth in the birth pool and finally the arrival of her daughter.
Walker captioned the series of photos with, “The best day of my life/the most painful day of my life. My bubbles arrived, the sweetest girl in the world. Thank you Erykah mama Sarahn Shanika Ashley and all the beautiful strong Black women that were there to assist me in that loooooooongggggggg ass labor. Y’all amazing.”

According to SOHH, Walker came under criticism last May for allegedly sharing a picture of the new born, where she looked to be underweight. The internet did not hesitate to come for Walker, leaving comments like “Summer Walker trending rn bc this b-tch starving her baby…….. and not bc she dropped new music……..” and “Y’all joking bout Summer Walker’s baby, this is possibly a real case of child neglect.”
Walker did not let social media’s horrible comments go unnoticed. She quickly responded, “‘Y’all: POST THE BABY B-TCH. WE WANNA SEE!’ Also Y’all: Roasting a baby [whose] face you can’t even see. Make it make sense. In conclusion, m——–ers is weird and I will never post my baby so stop asking.”

Walker reportedly gave birth to her daughter, whom she shares with producer London On Da Track, back on March 24, 2021.
