Summer Walker has been to keep the lives of her children as private as possible. Now, she is letting the world see a glimpse of her new babies.
While the singer has worked to keep her children away from the spotlight she did embrace her latest pregnancy. She recorded a song and accompanying music video that featured a very pregnant Walker twerking at a gas station and walking through convenience store aisles with her belly on full! The mom of three even performed a handful of times while pregnant.
Summer Walker’s Motherhood
In a post on Instagram, the singer shared images of her in a 1980s aesthetic photoshoot. In it she dons a fur coat and blonde wig while sitting on a vintage couch. Although she looked amazing in the pictures, the highlight was seeing the big reveal of her twins albeit just the backs of the children. Walker announced she gave birth in January.
In a now-deleted post, the singer shared some insight on her journey giving birth to twins.
“I’m so proud of myself. Just sharing to inspire other women, ’cause I know once you carry twins to almost 42 weeks, especially with one breech, people will try to steer you towards induction or C-section (which, there’s nothing wrong with these, I just didn’t want it for myself),” she explained. “You can do it, this was my second home birth, all natural, seven hours, no tearing, and I couldn’t [have] done it without my spirit guides, godparents, birth team, my elders and the best dad doula ever, Larry.”
She continued, “He was so hands-on the whole time. I was really impressed, it wasn’t easy but it gets done. Both births I almost blacked out at the end, but eating your placenta will definitely keep you above water. I have thin blood, so I always end up going to the hospital to bring myself back into good strength for them, but as long as my kids stay at home untouched, I’m good.”
Since giving birth, Walker has barely shared any images of her twins. She has also given the public limited access to her firstborn, Bubbles. She follows in the footsteps of a few other celebrities who have kept their children’s identities private. Naomi Campbell, who recently announced the birth of her second child, has also kept her children’s faces out of the public eye.
Back in May of 2021, Walker clapped back at trolls online who criticized her for not posting her child enough on social media,.
“Mf’s is weird and I will never post my baby so stop asking,” she declared on her Instagram story.
She has stood on those words since, and has not shown either of her babies faces online.
