As everyone gears up for the powerhouse panels and inspiring workshops, let’s take a moment to walk down memory lane to remember all the game-changing speakers who graced the Summit21 stage in years past.

Angela Rye (Summit21, 2018)

When Angela Rye took the stage in 2018, she electrified the audience with her fierce advocacy for Black women’s empowerment and solidarity. Post-Summit21, Angela has only amplified her voice. From her riveting podcast “On One with Angela Rye” to her work as an analyst for MSNBC, she continues to challenge the status quo and fight for equity.

Most recently, Angela has launched the Lift as We Climb Initiative, a mentorship program aimed at fostering intergenerational connections among Black women leaders. As we approach Summit21’s return, Angela’s tireless dedication to community upliftment remains a guiding light.

Tyra Banks (Summit21, 2021)

As the keynote speaker for the virtual Summit21 in 2021, Tyra Banks wowed the audience with her insights on reinvention and resilience. Her message that pivoting isn’t a sign of failure but a pathway to growth, resonated deeply. Since her Summit21 appearance, Tyra has embraced the spirit of reinvention herself. In 2022, she stepped down as host of “Dancing with the Stars” to focus on expanding her SMiZE Cream brand globally.

Most recently, Tyra launched the ModelLand Experience, an immersive attraction blending fashion, beauty, and empowerment. As a visionary entrepreneur, she continues to redefine what it means to build a multifaceted empire—and inspire women to do the same.

Miss Tina Lawson (Summit21, 2019)

Miss Tina Lawson, the matriarch of one of entertainment’s most influential families, inspired attendees in 2019 with her wisdom on staying grounded and graceful in the face of challenges. Since then, Miss Tina has continued to champion creativity and community. In 2022, she launched the Wearable Art Gala to new heights, raising millions for arts education. Her Instagram remains a hub of positivity, where she shares family moments, affirmations, and her iconic “Corny Joke Time.”

Looking forward, Miss Tina is preparing to release a memoir in 2025, chronicling her journey as a mother, entrepreneur, and cultural icon. If her Summit21 talk is any indication, it’s bound to be filled with wisdom and heart.

Sarah Jakes Roberts (Summit21, 2018)

Sarah Jakes Roberts left the Summit21 audience spellbound in 2018 with her vulnerable and powerful message on growth and resilience. Since then, Sarah has solidified her place as a transformative voice in faith and empowerment. Her Woman Evolve brand has expanded into a bestselling book, a wildly popular podcast, and an annual conference that attracts thousands of women from around the globe.

In 2024, Sarah launched the Evolve Academy, a digital platform offering courses on personal and spiritual development. As Summit21 returns, Sarah’s message of evolution feels more relevant than ever.

Sevyn Streeter (Summit21, 2018)

Sevyn Streeter’s heartfelt talk in 2018 gave attendees a glimpse into the highs and hurdles of navigating the music industry as a Black woman. In the years since, Sevyn has continued to thrive as a singer, songwriter, and advocate. Her 2021 album “Drunken Wordz Sober Thoughtz” showcased her lyrical prowess and earned critical acclaim.

Outside of music, Sevyn has been using her platform to mentor young Black women breaking into entertainment. She’s also teased fans with snippets of new music expected to drop in 2025.

Karrueche Tran (Summit21, 2019)

In 2019, actress and entrepreneur Karrueche Tran inspired attendees with her journey of turning aspirations into reality. Since then, Karrueche has flourished in both her acting career and her business endeavors. She earned an Emmy Award for her role in the digital series “The Bay “and has continued to land major roles, including on the hit show “Claws.”

Karrueche has also expanded her portfolio by collaborating on beauty and fashion lines, showing her commitment to empowering women to embrace their individuality. Her dedication to fulfilling her dreams remains a testament to the power of perseverance and vision.

Maxine Waters (Summit21, 2019)

As a speaker at the 2019 Summit21, Congresswoman Maxine Waters brought her trademark passion and fiery advocacy to the stage. Known for her rallying cry to “reclaim my time,” Maxine continues to fight tirelessly for social and economic justice. Over the past few years, she has been a prominent voice in holding corporations accountable and advocating for underserved communities.

In 2023, Maxine was instrumental in passing key legislation aimed at addressing wealth disparities. Her presence at Summit21 was a reminder that leadership and advocacy are essential components of creating lasting change.

Ashley Blaine Featherson (Summit21, 2019)

Actress and storyteller Ashley Blaine Featherson captivated the 2019 Summit21 audience with her reflections on finding purpose amidst a challenging journey. Since then, Ashley has continued to shine both on and off-screen. Known for her role on Netflix’s “Dear White People,” she has expanded her career into producing, with a focus on amplifying underrepresented voices.

Ashley recently launched the Purpose Over Passion Project, an initiative aimed at helping young women navigate their own journeys of self-discovery and success.
