SZA can check off another accomplished goal on her career bucket list. She announced that she will join the “Sesame Street” cast for an upcoming episode. The date has yet to be released. 

The “Snooze” singer shared the exciting news on X, after quoting a reply to a 2017 resurfaced tweet. The old tweet of hers inquired about how to be a guest star on the show. The artist followed it up with a recent picture of her and the “Sesame Street” cast members.

She continued the celebration on Instagram and shared a post with behind-the-scenes pictures and footage of her filming on set.

“Dreams come true,” the musician wrote. “This was the purest happiest day from top to bottom. Thank you for having me and patching up my inner child.”

After the clip aired, supporters showered the entertainer with love after she shared photos of her on set with the crew.

The forever First Lady Michelle Obama visited “Sesame Street” in July 2014 to speak on the health benefits of breakfast. She is served oatmeal, yogurt and a fruit salad, while engaging with Grover about the importance of the first meal of the day. In a scene where Grover complains about his tiredness and low energy, the political figure teaches the puppet how eating a nutritious breakfast can reverse his symptoms. Grover takes her advice and hilariously proceeds to eat Obama’s meal.

In September 2014, Janelle Monáe turned her invite into a music video that featured her “Sesame Street” castmates. The singer made a jingle that spoke about the power of the word “yet” and not giving up on accomplishing life goals. The catchy song is filled with advice, positive affirmations and encouragement for the “Sesame Street” crew and its viewers.

Ariana DeBose on the Meaning of Friendship 

Ariana DeBose made her musical cameo with the “Sesame Street” cast in November 2023. The Broadway star sat on a bench with Elmo, Cookie Monster and Abby to sing about the magic of friendship. In the heartwarming episode, she was joined by other puppets to sing the song “Friendship Feeling” together.
