Teacher’s Appreciation Week is coming to a close and many teachers across the nation have been feeling the love. From treats on their desks, to cute gifts from their students and parents, teachers deserve a little extra appreciation for their often thankless jobs.

Being a teacher is not an easy task. This was proven during the pandemic. As the world was locked down, parents realized how challenging it is to keep a child engaged while teaching them. A lot of parents started questioning how teachers were able to manage with a classroom of students.

Teacher’s Appreciation Week is a chance for society to express admiration and gratitude for the incredible educators who impact lives in immeasurable ways. Their impact goes beyond teaching new skills and knowledge. They inspire people to be their best selves and create a safe and nurturing environment for them to thrive.

Here is a look at a few teachers who have gone viral for their efforts in shaping future leaders.

Teachers Gone Viral

A substitute teacher in the classroom always means it’s time to act up, according to students. When it’s time for the actual teacher to come back in, they never fail to get a bad report about the students while they were gone. This creator reminded them that they have to get back on their game now that she’s back. The most hilarious aspect of the video is that she used audio from the movie “ATL” and even got her students to act with her.

This teacher emphasizes empowerment. The students in her class all learned a song reminding them that they are somebody. “I Am Somebody” reminds the students that no matter what anyone else says or thinks of them, they are important.

This teacher went viral several times for the way that she greets her students in the mornings. She has a sign on the hallway next to her door where students can choose from a variety of greetings. The options include greetings like a pound or a high-five. In this particular video, however, she is giving out hugs to students who voluntarily go in for one. She captions the post, “I love creating a space that makes kids feel safe.”
