TELFAR continues to be in their bag. According to a statement released on the brand’s social media platform, TELFAR will be taking over a Rainbow shop in downtown Brooklyn for the ultimate shopping experience.

Telfar Takeover

The TELFAR bag has taken center stage as a prominent piece of pop culture. The Black-owned brand has garnered the respect and coins of many people and even recently had a stint on Beyoncé’s “Renaissance.” The fashion line, which is owned by TELFAR Clemons, a celebrated Liberian-American fashion designer, carries a variety of items from clothing, shoes, and accessories.  Its most notable product is the famous Shopping Bag, also referred to as the “Bushwick Birkin,” and it has become a focal item in the world of culture and fashion. Despite coming from humble beginnings, Clemons’ work reached astronomical heights and has become one of the most discussed movements in fashion. At the height of the pandemic, the queer designer shared with the New York Times that he his company had one its most successful years despite the seeming downfall that the fashion world experienced during that time. The company has only continued to gain more preeminence and exposure as time goes on.

TELFAR’s recent announcement aligns with its mission to make luxury pieces more accessible to the average shopper compared to other fashion labels. On Sunday, Aug. 11, the brand will be live at the Rainbow store in downtown Brooklyn for a first-come-first-serve shopping experience like none other. According to the social media post, the store will be filled with various bags in vast colors and sizes to give customers an assortment of options. Because the company is notorious for consistently having sold-out bags, this may be the fashionista’s ultimate dream come true.
