Across the globe, music festivals are finally resurfacing after being shut down by the pandemic. Your favorite artists have been hitting the stages and traveling the world to do so! Our hip-hop and R&B queens have stopped at nothing to make sure that the world knows they’re back and better than ever.

Nicki Minaj

Of course we have to start with the Queen. Nicki made her return to live performances starting with the Essence Festival. Fans even used the hashtag #NickiFriday to shut down Twitter the entire week prior due to their excitement. Nicki was the headliner for the festival in New Orleans which also streamed live on Hulu.

She then made her way to Wireless Festival in London where fans flooded the streets to see the artist perform. Many fans who attended said this performance was better than the one at Essence Festival. Now the UK Barbz and the US Barbz are at odds.

Up next for the Queen is headlining the Rolling Loud Festival in her old stomping grounds. She will be joined by A$AP Rocky and Future as headliners in New York.

Coi Leray

New comer on the music scene, Coi Leray, has been making it clear that she is here to stay! The “Blick Blick” rapper made her way to Portugal for the Rolling Loud Festival and shut the stage down! Her energy during live performances has always been unmatched.

Summer Walker

Summer Walker made her way to the Wireless Festival in London and had all the girls in their feelings! She may have even gotten in her own feelings too.

The singer broke down on stage during her performance of “Session 32.” She explained to the crowd that she’s pregnant and her hormones are crazy but she was overwhelmed by the love. “I never got love like this before, thank you London,” she said. After asking the crowd to help her out with the rest of her set, they went on to sing the whole song with Summer as she tried to gather her emotions.

Cardi B

After dropping her new single “Hot Sh**,” Cardi B hopped on a plane to Norway to make her first stop at Stavern Festival. After taking time off to be with her family and even welcome a new child to the world, the rapper has not missed a beat! She even got so hot that her wig ended up coming off!

Cardi then made her way to London where she performed for her fans at the Wireless Festival. She even performed “WAP” for the first time on a festival stage with the H-Town Hottie, Megan Thee Stallion.

Megan Thee Stallion

Our final artist that deserves all the recognition is Megan Thee “Booked and Busy” Stallion. She is currently the most in demand hip-hop artist this festival season. She has been booked for 25 shows so far and is on track to being the most booked artist this season as well.

Megan has already performed at festivals in London, Portugal, Ibiza, Finland and more. She keeps the same energy throughout each performance and doesn’t show that she’s ready to stop any time soon. She is even taking time to enjoy herself while traveling and vlogging it all for us.
