Let us kindly reiterate that the well-being of our emotional and mental health is of vital importance to living a healthy, and balanced life. This means it impacts how we feel, think and behave each day. Our mental health also contributes to our decision-making process, how we cope with stress and how we relate to others in our lives. According to the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI), one in five Americans experience mental health issues and only 60% have access to therapeutic services.

Licensed therapist and founder of Building Endurance PLLC, Alicia Tetteh, strives to decrease the stigma surrounding mental health. While working as a mental health therapist in Charlotte, N.C., V 101.9 WBAV reports, friends, family, and strangers from other states would often ask Tetteh where they could find local therapists of their own. This sparked the idea to create a mental health-focused app where people could have access to mental health services at the push of a button.

ATTUNE is a free national mental health mobile directory app designed to connect individuals to a therapist of their choice. "The creation of ATTUNE comes from my passion to help people get the help they need," Tetteh revealed on her Fedex Small Business Grant application. "This mobile application was created with that in mind and to connect consumers to services our community so desperately needs."
