As one of the latest R&B acts with an objective promise of stardom, Victoria Monét is second to none. The Grammy Award winner is a master of her craft, delivering vocals, visuals and bangers with effortlessness and flawless execution. She’s constantly garnering comparisons to Beyoncé, said to be the closest to the living legend in the new age.

Monét has loudly shared her love for the iconic songstress, penning an open letter to her on Instagram.

“Dear @Beyonce, my queen my idol my inspiration,” she wrote. “God knows how much I love you, how you’ve musically raised me and trained me to be a better performer by watching and experiencing you, and how many solo concerts I’ve had in my room dreaming and singing into a hairbrush or remote when your albums and visuals drop! You’re my Diana, my Tina, my Aretha! My Bey!!!  Thank you for your beauty and grace and legacy that continues opening doors for so many of us black girls, and for taking the time to speak to me on the biggest day of my career. You’ve really been here all along!”

It’s clear to say that Queen Bey is one of Monét’s biggest influences and she is affirmatively a member of the BeyHive. Here are five different times Monét has displayed her admiration through paying homage and bowing to the OG.

BET Awards Performance

During the 2024 BET Awards, Monét, alongside singer and actress Teyana Taylor, recreated Usher and Beyoncé’s 2005 “Bad Girl” performance. The performance was met with praise across the board, mirroring the outfits and choreography with perfect execution. Beyoncé reposted a clip of the performance on her Instagram story, seemingly giving her approval as well. Monét was moved by the acknowledgment.

“I am screaming!! Can not grasp for air. I am unwell. Holy sh*t I did not expect to pass out today. Gagged completely. Beyoncé, we love you. The original bad gyal I will forever honor you,” she said.

Renaissance Tour Outfit

Monét was one of the many celebrities who attended Beyoncé’s record-breaking Renaissance World Tour in 2023. She certainly arrived on theme. Her outfit was a replica of Beyoncé’s iconic silver two-piece look for her performance of “Deja Vu” at the 2003 BET Awards.

“S.O.S” Feat. Usher

In the marketing for Monét’s latest collaboration, the steamy serenade “S.O.S” with R&B legend Usher, she’s undeniably serving B’Day era. In fact, that X, formerly known as Twitter, users exploded with jokes and comparisons. They also made the hopeful plea that the two will eventually collaborate.

Sharing Her CÉCRED Experience

A major part of honoring your faves means supporting them in all their endeavors. Monét was quick to hop into the CÉCRED salon and attest to how healthy and strong the products left her crown feeling. She even bonded with Beyoncé’s mother, Miss Tina Knowles, who shared some helpful insight on how CÉCRED’s products can reinvigorate her scalp health.

Jaguar Tour

It’s hard not to think of Beyoncé when Monét hits the stage, from her controlled vocals to her mesmerizing choreography. With wind machines dancing through her long blonde locks, it’s evident she’s studied the craft. She even paid homage to her during her Jaguar Tour setlist by integrating Beyoncé’s “Baby Boy” with her own single “Party Girls.”
