If you're a fan of R&B, you're surely a fan of '90s R&B princess Aaliyah. Although she left this world too soon, her artistic talent and presence continues to be seen in artists of today, playlists everywhere and, now, even in a collection of makeup due out from beauty giant MAC Cosmetics.
MAC announced #AaliyahforMAC in August of 2017, but we're just now getting an official release date and even an exclusive look at the first lipstick shade of the collection — a metallic nude reminiscent of on of Aaliyah's most-known makeup looks.
And the shiny, wine-colored packaging with Aaliyah's signature sprawled across it is a departure from MAC's typical matte black bullet — one that we're excited to see!
What other shades would you like to see in this collection? How about other products? Are you anticipating an eyeshadow palette? Blushes? MAC's signature mineralized skin finish powders? We hope they have at least one super-glossy lip so we can reenact our favorite moves from "Rock the Boat."
And perhaps a dark lip so we can all channel this moody/glamorous look from "Are You That Somebody?"
