Protective styles are the bread and butter for women who love to switch up their looks and keep their natural hair thriving. Though the illusion may make some think that Black women are compensating for something that they lack, as we’ve come to learn, it’s better to mind the business that pays you than to mind what the baddest women in the world are doing. So, when 1/2 of the dynamic rap duo the City Girls, Yung Miami, debuted her naturally long and luscious locks, we weren’t surprised at all. Following the lead of celebs like Angela Simmons, Gabrielle Union-Wade, Teyana Taylor and even our Queen Beyoncé, Caresha proved that Black girls are masters of disguise and natural beauty all at once. Captured during a session with her stylist, the rap princess showed off her perfectly trimmed tresses pulled into a neat pony with babyhairs to boot. The final look was a bun at the nape of the neck for a little easy, breezy beautiful eleganza!

Natural Hair Vibes

Black women are always under intense scrutiny when it comes to our hair so being able to give our crowns the proper care and attention never goes out of style. Opting for braids underneath wigs and weaves really allows for the innovation and creativity that comes natural to Black women while causing very little to no damage to our hair. We love to see it.

Along with showing off her healthy mane, Yung Miami has also been causing quite the stir with her latest IG flicks. Not only did she hint at a pajama line, featuring her infamous line ‘Buenos Noches’ from the track ‘Rap Freaks’, she’s also been flexing her incredible figure. The rap diva sent social media into a panic when she posted herself in a sheer red number with platform heels to match. She and her fellow City Girl, JT, were recently featured in the latest issue of Vogue where they spoke about their plans to take over the summer…again

We are always hear for our girl Caresha!
