With her braggadocious bars and beautiful brown skin, Eve knows a thing or two about blowing minds. She might not be as salacious as we once heard her on hits like “Gangsta Lovin'” or “Who’s That Girl?” but the entertainer will always be a favorite among early 2000s femcees. These days, Eve keeps busy being a first-time mom to the baby boy she shares with her husband, Maximillion Cooper. The lovers split their time between Los Angeles and London, and they have no problem letting the world in on their love story via social media.
When the former race car driver joined Instagram in 2012, his first post was of Eve, proving his adoration for the 45-year-old. People reports that Cooper was “mesmerized” when he first met Eve in 2010 at the launch party for his Gumball 3000 motor rally. They made their red carpet debut at the Jacka** 3D premiere that November, and by 2013, the British sportsman was ready to tie the knot. He proposed to Eve on Christmas Day and they were married in a beachfront wedding in Ibiza, Spin on June 13.
Eve Has Been Candid About Her Interracial Marriage
In a 2013 interview with Huff Post Live, Eve opened up about being married to a White man who’s also British. “In the beginning, I think it was tough in a sense that I was like, where does this fit in? Are we really going to be able to get each other?” the rap diva reflected. “Because we are so different. Just being British alone, and me being American is different. But for him to be a White man with a Black woman — we definitely talked about it, I had issues about it, but we talk it out.”
The same topic arose in 2020 amid George Floyd’s murder, which Eve described as “difficult and uncomfortable.” She added, “But, at the same time, it’s a beautiful thing, because … I don’t know his life through his eyes. He doesn’t know my life through my eyes. All he can do is try to understand and try to ask the questions, and he wants to understand, and that’s what the nation – that’s what the world – has to do. It’s gonna be uncomfortable. Yeah, it’s going to be uncomfortable! But we have to be okay with being uncomfortable so that we can get to a solution.”
Maximillion Cooper and His Wife Welcomed Their First Baby in 2022
When she exchanged vows with Cooper, Eve became a stepmother to his four children. The pair had dreams of welcoming a baby of their own but didn’t conceive until 2021. Their son, Wilde Wolf Fife Alexander Somers Cooper was born in February 2022 and has been a staple on the performer’s IG profile ever since.
