I’ve always been a big believer in women learning to embrace their inner beauty.

We live in a society where we’re told that "natural is better," yet we still feel the need to cover up imperfections and layer on the products.

I used to think that way until I concluded that the only opinion that truly matters is mine.

There are things that I can control to be the best version of myself, like the nutrients and supplements I decide to put into my body.

Now, I much prefer working from the inside out and taking care of my natural features, like my skin, nails and hair, so I don’t have to worry about these things later on in life. I’ve found that it’s easier to nourish my natural beauty instead of trying to cover up and change how I look. I encourage you all to do the same.

Here are some healthy habits we can practice on a daily basis to promote our already beautiful and radiant selves.

TAKE VITAMINS

In my own life, vitamins and certain minerals have been a great way to add nutrients into my lifestyle. Most people never get the recommended daily intake of vitamins for proper health, so it’s a good idea to add them to your daily beauty routine.

My favorites are the Olly Perfect Women's Multi Gummies and Marine Collagen Peptides. I love how they help support healthy hair, radiant skin and better nail health with a mix of vital nutrients including Biotin, Folic Acid, and Vitamins A, C, D and E. They don't taste half bad either!

STAY HYDRATED

Proper hydration is essential to looking and feeling your best. When I’m not drinking enough water, my skin looks dull and dry, and my hair loses its bounce and shine. More than half of our body is made up of water according to experts, so it’s crucial to keep refueling our bodies by drinking lots of water.

It is also important to eat foods that contain high amounts of water (i.e., watermelon, grapes, celery, lettuce). For those that "despise" the taste of water, you can always spice it up by adding different fruits, or things like lemon or cucumber slices.

GET MOVING

Exercise is one of those things that most of us dread doing, but it’s so good for our body, mind and spirit. Whenever I break a sweat and get my blood rushing, I can feel the oxygen pumping into my body and know that I’m doing something beautiful for my health (and my abs and booty.)

Have you ever noticed that post-workout, your skin always looks flushed and fresh? (and it’s not just from the sweat). I like to call this my "exercise glow," but it’s just because your skin is brimming with blood vessels that lie close to the service, according to totaldermatology.com.

Your body also releases a lot of “feel good” chemicals, so you naturally feel happy after being active, and it’s an excellent way for your body to sweat out toxins and other junk. So, find something that you love doing and get that blood pumping!
