The upcoming holiday season is sure to be a hectic time for me, as it is pretty much every year. Any beauty hacks that can help save me time are always worth a try, right? Here are my top tips to help you slay for the holidays.

Whether it’s makeup or skincare, I’m sure you’ll find something in this list to help your daily beauty routine go a bit faster!

1. Go Bold or Go Home

If you don't have the time but still want to look like you have your life together, always opt for a bright, bold lip. Beaming red lipstick or a vampy plum paired with a thick coat of mascara is a quick makeup miracle that takes no time at all to apply but makes you look like you’ve got your best face forward.

2. Glow-Up

Skin looking a little-uninspired right before your big Halloween, Christmas or New Years Eve party? Apply an illuminating face moisturizer like Melanie Mills Gleam Body Radiance before putting on your makeup base. If you can’t find one in your makeup trove, you can quickly whip up a DIY version by taking your everyday foundation and mixing in a bit of your favorite liquid highlighter.

3. Keep that Do’ Intact

No one wants to worry about their up-do falling down at a moment’s notice during their night out. One way to ensure that it doesn't is to spray bobby pins with hairspray or dry shampoo before sticking them in your hair. Doing this will give the bobby pins a bit more grip, so they stay put during the festivities. Also, make sure you tuck them in bumpy side down (which I just recently learned about myself) – this will hold onto the hair better.

4. Become a Lash Diva

Who else loves the look of falsies but hates having to deal with the irritating application process? My tip for you is to use two of your favorite mascaras. First, apply your favorite thickening mascara to the root. Wait just a few seconds and then add an alternative one, preferably a voluminous or lengthening mascara. It instantly looks like you have a full set of glam lashes without the hassle of any crazy eyelash glue!

5. Simply Smoky

Who doesn't love a great smoky eye for the holiday season? I like to use my Beth Beauty Blender eyeliner stencil to help me instantly achieve an effortless smokey eye. You just put the tool up to your face, fill in the stencil with a blending brush and voila! You are party ready.

6. Instant Revamp

A way to refresh your face throughout the day is to keep a little spray bottle of rosewater in your bag. My favorite at the moment is the Mario Badescu Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater spray. This product will help keep your skin hydrated and your makeup looking fresh all day long.

7. Wing it Up

Accomplishing the perfect cat eye is a must for most party looks, and here’s a quick trick that I have learned from pretty much every beauty magazine: Take a strip of scotch tape, the corner of your tweezers or even a pencil, and line it at the tip of your upper lash line to the end of your eyebrow. This will give you an accessible path to apply the liquid liner over. Just peel off the tape, and there you have it! A perfect winged eye.

8. Get Cheeky

Fresh, dewy cheeks are a genuine holiday staple. Instead of applying the traditional blush, use a cream lipstick or highlighter to the apples of your cheeks and blend out with your fingers. This gives the same look like a cream blush, and it also saves space in your makeup bag.
