For most of us, guessing what we may need in our purse every day is impossible, especially in the wintertime. But, don't worry, I have taken out the guessing work for you. I've got you covered with some key items that can help combat this impending cold weather.
Here are five cold weather essentials to carry in your handbags at all times:
1. Lip Balm

This is a prominent choice ladies, and an important one you don't want to skip. One of the biggest obstacles I face during the winter is parched lips. I'm talking skin peeling, bleeding, the whole nine yards. However, I have learned that the best way to combat this terrible scenario is by always being armed with the proper arsenal, or in this case, lip balm.
One of my favorites ATM is a little something I picked up in Target called the Dr. Bronner's Organic Lip Balm Naked $3. This little balm provides intense hydration to the lips to help protect them from becoming dry and chapped. Infused with Jojoba, avocado and hemp oils, it’s a very soothing, moisturizing, and a bonus, it smells pretty good! This very easily fits into my purse. So it’s easy to stow away.
2. Lotions

Besides my lips, my skin also gets extremely coarse when it becomes cold outside. I’m guessing it has something to do with the drastic switch of temperatures. Whenever I step foot outside my house, I swear my hands instantly crack up, and it's not cute. That's why I usually have a hand cream like Vanilla Marshmallow Hand Cream $6 in my bag most days, for once fall and winter season hits.
3. Bobby Pins Galore

This one may seem a bit odd, but it’s something you will need more than you think. As soon as the air becomes frigid, static electricity wages war on my already out-of-control curls. To combat this, I like to keep some bobby pins on hand to help tame my curls and keep everything together. I usually have a little bag of them in my purse for any occasion that comes my way.
4. Warm Accessories

Nothing’s worse than being caught outdoors in a rainstorm or freezing snow without any outerwear protection. For this reason, I always make sure to pack a scarf, beanie, fingerless gloves for driving, even some hand warmers and ear warmers in case the weather takes a turn for the worse later in the day. I suggest accessories that are light, so they don’t take up too much room in your purse, and materials like wool and flannel to keep you fully insulated.
5. Eye Drops

My final cold weather essential is, again, not very original, but crucial for my comfort. Every year when winter strikes, my eyes get a little dry from time to time. Because of this, I try to keep a bottle (or several) of eye drops in my possession at all times.
