With all the endless industry tips and tricks on how we can change our appearance with makeup, I think there is something to be said about embracing our natural beauty.
While this way is old news to some of you gorgeous ladies who rock the #nomakeuplook daily, leaving the house makeup-free is an entirely new concept for me. So, how did I suddenly gain the courage to show the world my bare face? By changing up just a few critical things in my overall daily routine.
I think it’s imperative to feel confident enough in your skin. This is something I’ve struggled with for a while and I have just started to feel comfortable enough in my skin to go without spending at least twenty minutes contouring, blending and buffing out my imperfections.
Here are 10 tips for taking your skin game to a whole new level, commanding barefaced confidence:
1. Get plenty of zzz’s to shine bright the next morning

3. Keep your teeth brushed and flossed at all times ladies
(use a whitening toothpaste or oil pull with some charcoal/coconut oil if you feel you need a little extra help).

4. Regularly exfoliate your lips
For a homemade remedy, use a bit of brown sugar and honey to remove the dead skin. It is also good to apply a balm (tinted or sheer) several times a day for a healthy, shiny pout.

5. For skin that is a little lackluster, brighten up the skin and create a healthy glow with an antioxidant-rich serum infused with Vitamin C
When dead skin cells build up on the surface, the only result is a face that looks dry and dull. Find an exfoliate that has either glycolic or salicylic acid in it and use it at least two times a week.

7. Groom those brows by plucking any stray hairs and trimming them so that they’re more tamed
Threading and waxing are always good options as well. You can also try aloe vera gel to help keep wayward hairs in order.

10. Don’t neglect your health
One of the quickest ways to get your skin feeling good is by making healthy changes in other areas of your life. A vigorous workout routine can positively impact the health of your skin. You can also cut out sweets to help the onset of breakouts.
