Though the singer was not physically at the award show due to schedule conflicts, she posted to Instagram sharing her excitement with her followers. “I won best R&B EMA, my first solo award. Thank you God, I am so happy.”

She also jumped on a live show to further express her emotion after taking home this monumental win.

“It’s my first like, solo win ever. … I was too excited, I saw on my phone before and I started crying. God is amazing, thank you guys for voting. I love you all, I didn’t even think I was going to win. … I wish I was there at the show, it was my first one. But I’m so happy. I just wanted to thank you guys. I’m not going to cry, but it was like the perfect sign because you know when you start doubting yourself and everything. So, it really made me happy.”

This win comes after Bailey recently dropped her latest single “For The Night” featuring rapper Latto.
