In a now-viral Instagram post, Ciara shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse into a scintillating performance.
Following the recent brouhaha that surrounded the American Music Awards (AMAs), Ciara shared behind-the-scenes footage of herself dancing in honor of Michael Jackson over the beat of his iconic “Billie Jean” song. In the beginning of the black and white video, Ciara can be seen dancing alongside Chris Brown, before the video cuts to her dancing on her own. In the video, the mother of three can be seen wearing a pair of black loafers, white socks, a pair of black sweatpants and a matching black sweatshirt.

The video has since raked in millions of views, with many fans saying that the AMAs missed out on a phenomenal performance from the duo. For years, Ciara has consistently shown her veracity and versatility as an entertainer, but this recently-surfaced video has further shown us that she is still THAT girl. In addition to being a super mom, wife, entertainer and icon, Cici is also a prominent inspiration.
When news broke that Ciara and Chris Brown’s Michael Jackson tribute performance at the AMAs was canceled, many fans took to social media to comment on the situation, and this prompted a response from the AMAs in a statement to ET, which stated that there were elements that did not align to make the performance happen.
“Live shows change all the time, it’s the nature of this business; unfortunately, this element of the AMAs didn’t come together as we couldn’t align on the performance, to no fault of Chris Brown,” the statement read.
Following this update, Ciara also shared a snippet of her rehearsal for the show, which has since amassed millions of views.
