Life At Home For Da Brat and Judy

Since she first got pregnant, Da Brat has been amazed by the journey and that excitement hasn’t stopped now that True has arrived.

“Look, this came out of my stomach,” she said to the outlet while pointing to True. “I cry every day. I just look at him and boo-hoo, because I’m so grateful.”

The journey to having the baby was not easy, and the couple makes sure to give praise for the miracle that is their son. Harris-Dupart originally wanted to have the baby but there were too many complications that would’ve prevented a healthy pregnancy. Brat also had a few complications but decided that she wanted to have their baby and experience what pregnancy is like since her wife already gave birth to three children from a previous relationship.

“I’m 49, I’m high-risk, I have high blood pressure. So many women so much younger than me want kids and can’t have them, and I had a successful pregnancy,” Brat remarked. “It’s just an honor. He’s such a blessing.”

The rapper underwent IVF treatments using Harris-Dupart’s eggs and sperm from an anonymous donor. Initially, she did experience a miscarriage, but then she became pregnant with their son. She gave birth to True via a c-section and said she had no contractions but only experienced pain while receiving the epidural.

Da Brat says learning how to take care of a newborn baby has brought her and her wife closer together. She is very grateful for Harris-Dupart’s help through it all.

“I’m with a beautiful, successful woman who completes me and inspires me to be better,” she gushed. “I’m elated to be a mother. I never thought I would be, and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I never need another thing in life.”
