Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart, treated her partner, the renowned rapper Da Brat to a luxury pre-push gift that brought tears to Da Brat’s eyes. In a four-part post on Instagram, the entrepreneur, who married Da Brat in 2022, detailed the experience of gifting the musical artist with a brand new Tesla.
Push gifts are tokens of affection customarily given to pregnant people from their partners before or shortly after the person gives birth to a shared child.
A Story In Four Parts
Harris-Dupart began her surprise to Da Brat in a clip she posted on Instagram where the couple drove to a Tesla dealership. As they approached the parking lot of the dealership, Da Brat can be heard asking her wife why they are at Tesla, before setting her eyes for the surprise her partner had in store for her.
“SURPRISE wanted to make sure my wife had her PRE-PUSH gift. she always says how I don’t need to buy her anything all she needs is me ….. DAT MAKES ME WANNA GIVE HER DA WORLD and all things in it , all the things she’s ever wanted , wanted to do , wanted to achieve IMA MAKE SURE she gets them , does them and achieves them,” she wrote in the caption of the video.
The next video follows the couple as they check out the cars Harris-Dupart had lined up for Da Brat to pick from. The options included several Teslas in different colors. In the third video, Harris-Dupart reveals that, after moments of hesitation, Da Brat eventually settled on a white-on-white Tesla. She ended her posts with a carousel of pictures featuring the cars. In the image Da Brat is seen looking up at Harris-Dupart adoringly while seated in her new car.
Expectant Mothers
Da Brat and her partner announced they were pregnant in February. The pregnancy is being carried by Da Brat, an experience she described to PEOPLE, as a blessing and that she never thought she would.
