Upon meeting, Brandon Frankel worked as a talent manager at Cameo, the video-sharing platform fans use to get personal videos from their favorite celebrities and content creators. He has a long history working behind the scenes of the entertainment industry, once employed by Paradigm Talent Agency, CAA Music and Atlantic Records. Currently, he serves as the marketing and branding lead for booking agency 33 & West.
So how did the two meet? The old-fashioned way, of course: on a dating app. Raya, the ultra-exclusive celebrity dating app, felt like a safe way for Frankel to ease back into the game following his divorce from his ex-wife. After matching with Sidibe, their first date lasted a total of seven hours. Clearly love at first site, he popped the question in November 2020 and the two wed in March 2021.
Frankel and Sidibe Become Parents
Giving birth to a son and daughter in early April 2024, the two couldn’t be more excited about expanding their family, going from cat parents to parents parents. ”Brandon always wanted to name a son Cooper, so we call him ‘Coop,’ and Maya was named shortly before our babymoon to the Mayan Riviera in Mexico,” Sidibe shares. Both twins don traditional West African middle names after members of Sidibe’s family.
Sidibe previously shared that she wanted at least seven “little Brandons,” so we can surely expect them to continue growing their family soon.
Frankel Has Shown Sidibe a New Kind of Love
Frankel is endlessly supportive of his wife, making it a point to share just how proud he is of her and all her artistic endeavors on social media. Sidibe admits to never imagining herself in a love so healthy and genuine. “I couldn’t imagine dating someone I actually liked,” she shared with “Brides” while gracing the cover. “Turns out, totally possible! So, I’m really happy to have been wrong about where I saw my life going, partnership-wise.” Amidst receiving an incessant amount of trolling and hate comments on Instagram about their love, Frankel remains loudly loyal and madly in love.
