The icy girl has is always tapped in, and as Champion’s first-ever global culture consultant, she’s tapped into the world in a brand new way.

The athletic brand recently announced its history-making decision by adding the icy girl to its roster, as well as announcing its brand new “Get It Girl” campaign. The campaign will highlight 12 female student-athletes and uses Saweetie’s song ‘Get It Girl’ to shine a light on the college stars that are dominating the industry one day and one step at a time.

In addition to showcasing the rising athletes, Champion will also be giving brand ambassadorship titles to the college students, as well as NIL deals which will help to give the students the proper resources they need to excel within their careers. Brand ambassadors will also receive mentorship and career development opportunities in sports, entertainment, media, and marketing as reported by Afrotech.

“We’re proud to name Saweetie as our first-ever Global Culture Consultant to help empower women to be their own Champion,” said Global Marketing VP John Shumate in a statement. “Saweetie is an inspiration for self-expression and with her ‘Get it Girl’ anthem, we want to unite all women with Champion athletic wear solutions designed for everybody, every shape, and every workout.”

Given Saweetie’s precedented love for fashion and athleisurewear, her partnership with Champion comes as no surprise to the icy Girl star. She recently disclosed that her collaboration with Champion is personal to her, as well as the importance it plays for young girls and their confidence.

“My relationship with Champion runs deeps as an athlete and lover of streetwear,” Saweetie said in a press release. “It’s been a go-to brand since high school! This campaign and partnership hit me on a personal level and I couldn’t be prouder to help all my sporty-icy girls out there feel empowered with love and self-confidence. When you feel good wearing Champion, the sky’s the limit.”

The athletes were invited to participate in a photoshoot with Saweetie, showing off Champion’s latest collections which include sports bras, t-shirts, tank tops, and leggings. In addition to Champion’s latest campaign, the athletes have also been named as a part of the brand’s inaugural “Champion Circle,” which spotlights the collegiate athletes from over seven colleges/universities including Saweetie’s alma mater, USC.

The icy girl shared a snippet of the campaign on her Instagram last weekend. The campaign was created by a female-led production team that includes renowned director, Hannah Lux Davis, and photographer,  Leeor Wild.
