Halloween is an exciting time of the year, full of spooky decorations, costumes, and of course, candy. But for the 21+ crowd, Halloween drinks are an even better way to celebrate the big day night.

Adults Can Celebrate Halloween, Too

After a certain age, dressing up to go trick-or-treating just isn’t the move. Fortunately, Halloween isn’t just for kids. There are many ways for adults to celebrate the spooky season, from pumpkin carving to bingeing horror flicks.

Many adults attend themed parties or nightclubs to get into the Halloween spirit. Others throw their own Halloween parties with friends or family members.

How To Throw a Halloween Party

To get the party started, you’ll need Halloween decorations, entertainment, food, and of course, drinks. But instead of just buying a bottle of your favorite alcohol, why not get into the Halloween spirit with a handcrafted Halloween drink?

Boozy, themed cocktails are the perfect way to get any Halloween party started. And the best part? You can get really creative by making drinks inspired by your favorite scary movie or folktale.

Halloween Drink Inspo

For drink inspo, consider your favorite part of Halloween. Perhaps you enjoy watching vintage horror flicks with classic monsters like Frankenstein or Dracula. You can try making a themed drink inspired by your favorite monster, complete with gummy eyeballs or red candy syrup for blood.

Or, maybe your favorite part of spooky season isn’t spooky at all. You can craft drinks inspired by the colors of autumn, or kick off the beginning of fall with a spiked pumpkin spiced latte.

No matter what you decide, Halloween is a great time to get creative. Here are five Halloween drinks to enjoy for Halloween:

Cynthia Bailey is a multitalented star, best known for her role in the hit reality TV show Real Housewives of Atlanta. But when the Real Housewife isn’t busy on set, she’s busy in the kitchen.

Bailey recently partnered with Seagram’s Escapes to create a frightening new libation, the Spooky Sangria.

To make it, start by filling a punchbowl with a bottle of your favorite red wine. Then add a bottle of Seagram’s Escapes Strawberry Daiquiri malt beverage, plus some pomegranate juice.

Next, stir in a handful of frozen fruit, including oranges, blackberries, strawberries, and apples. And finally, finish off your Spooky Sangria by lining the rim of your punchbowl or cocktail glasses with a bit of red gel icing to give it a bloody effect.

The Red Death

For a bloody good time, try “The Red Death” Halloween cocktail from The Wiltshire Liqueur Company.

To start, fill a cocktail shaker with ice. If you don’t have a cocktail shaker, you can use a Mason jar instead. Or, try this stainless steel cocktail shaker bar set that includes a cocktail shaker with a built-in strainer, measuring jigger, and bar spoon.

Next, add the following ingredients into the shaker:

  • 50ml Wiltshire Liqueur Sloe Gin
  • 50ml Wiltshire Liqueur Wild Strawberry Liqueur
  • 25ml Wiltshire Liqueur Blood Orange Liqueur
  • 25ml Southern Comfort
  • 50ml Cherry juice

Shake and strain into your favorite ghoulish glass. Don’t forget to add ice and a sprig of rosemary for garnishing.

Pro Tip: Kick it up a notch with this skeleton hand whiskey glass — the perfect way to show off your spine-chilling creation.

Bloody Vodka Syringe

For even more gore, try these creepy “Bloody Vodka Syringes” from Tipsy Bartender.

To start, you’ll need a box of cherry Jell-o or any other flavored gelatin mix. If you don’t like cherry flavor, you can opt for another red, fruit flavor like raspberry.

Boil some water and prepare the flavored gelatin mix according to the instructions on the box. Then, once finished, let it cool until the mixture reaches room temperature.

Next, add two ounces of your favorite vodka to the cooled gelatin mixture, along with another two ounces of black vodka. If you don’t have black vodka, a couple of drops of black food coloring should do the trick.

Then, fill a handful of syringes with the blood, red mixture. We like this 50-pack of large Jell-o shot syringes from Motorboaters, but you can find syringes at your local Halloween store.

Place the syringes in the refrigerator until completely chilled, and enjoy!

The Poison Apple Martini

If you like Snow White, you’ll love this creepy cocktail inspired by her formidable foe, The Evil Queen.

Here is how to make “The Poison Apple Martini,” courtesy of @servedbysamm:

First, grab your handy dandy cocktail shaker. Then, add the following ingredients to your shaker before mixing them.

  • 2 oz Ketelone Vodka
  • 1 oz Sour Apple Pucker
  • 1 oz Simple Syrup
  • 1/2 oz Lime Juice
  • 1/4 tsp Luster Dust

Strain your “poisonous” concoction into a martini glass. Then, coat the rim with some melted red gummy bears for an added creep factor. Finally, to finish your mad martini, place a piece of dry ice into the glass for a smoking effect.

Pro Tip: If you don’t have luster dust, try this set of 10 that comes in multiple colors!
