Janet Jackson had a chance to spend some time with her friends Angela Bassett and Tasha Smith following her recent Together Again Tour stop in Los Angeles.
Jackson performed for a sold out crowd at the Hollywood Bowl on June 10. The show included a stunning fireworks display that attendees were raving about on social media.
The show was followed by an after party with Jackson’s backup dancers, team members, and friends. Her party guests also included Bassett and Smith.
The trio looked super cute while hanging out, with one viral Twitter video showing them all enjoying a good laugh as they posed for pictures.
In a separate video, Bassett gave Jackson tons of love, calling the show “amazing” and “fabulous.”
Bassett has had a decades-long friend with Jackson, with the two most recently snapping a pic during the Madison Square Garden stop on Jackson’s tour in May.
Smith and Jackson were co-stars in the “Why Did I Get Married” movie franchise. Smith also made an earlier trip to the Together Again Tour, attending the tour’s opening night in Hollywood, Florida, in April. She took to her Instagram page to share a photo with Jackson from that special night.
Jackson was also joined at the LA after party by her longtime production and writing partner Jimmy Jam.
Tour Coming to a Close?
The Together Again Tour is in its last few weeks. However, the surprise addition of a new October show in Lincoln, California, has many wondering if the pop star will extend the tour through the end of year.
In a recent Instagram post, Jackson went into detail on how the Together Again Tour has been the most fun she’s had on any tour since Rhythm Nation in 1990.
Jackson’s fun on tour has included her a viral meme of her commenting on fans smoking during the show. She also sparked some talk over her on-stage kiss with her backup dancer Dario Boatner.
