If you’ve ever questioned if Jill Scott is a member of the Beyhive, the singer and actress took to Twitter to set the record straight.
Scott currently is on tour celebrating the 23rd anniversary of her debut album, “Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol. 1.” The tour is a continuation of the album’s 20th anniversary tour that was cancelled during the start of the pandemic in 2020. However, Scott’s busy schedule didn’t stop her from singing the praises of Beyoncé on Twitter, as Mrs. Carter enjoys the international dates of the Renaissance Tour.
The Bey love from Scott was sparked after she retweeted a post guessing that Beyoncé is a Jill Scott “stan.” In the post, the tweeter added that Scott’s hometown of Philadelphia will “turn up,” during the Philly Renaissance tour date.
“I’m convinced [Beyoncé] a [Jill Scott] stan. Not fan, but stan. It is so cute,” the user tweeted. “She gone turn Philly up with that part and how much energy she give it. And Jilly do got bops.”
Scott obviously agreed with the message. She eventually responded to the tweet to share just how much she does enjoy Beyonce’s artistry.
“You already know I’d give [Beyoncé] a kidney. I walked into loving this artist. Yes, the God given talent. Yes to the fking effort, vision, ethics, balance, cost. Clearly, I can go on,” Scott tweeted, ending the message with several hashtags that added to her sweet message.
The singers’ fans were excited about Scott conforming her Beyoncé stan status. Her fans responded to the post’s comments to give both Scott and Beyoncé their love.
This isn’t the first time Scott has given Beyoncé some major props. In 2018, Scott became a viral meme when she took to her Instagram to share her rave review of Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z’s On The Run Tour.
Beyoncé also shows love to Scott. Along with her shoutout to Scott in the “Break My Soul” remix, Beyoncé memorably covered her song “He Loves Me (Lyzel in E Flat),” during The Beyoncé Experience Tour back in 2007.
