November isn’t over yet, but already, it’s been a huge month for 31-year-old Kane Brown. The Southern superstar appears in Hulu’s new music docuseries, It’s All Country, alongside Luke Bryan, giving longtime fans insight into the creative process behind his work. While Brown takes tons of inspiration from the racism and alleged abuse he endured in childhood, he’s also got an equally as imaginative wife, Katelyn Jae, by his side to inspire him. The beautiful blonde comes from Pennsylvania, and while she once had dreams of becoming a country music star in her own right, life has lead her down different – though equally as rewarding – paths. Keep reading for everything we know about Kane Brown’s wife, from how the lovers first met in 2016 to what their life together looks like in 2024!

It turns out Kane and Katelyn Brown were initially supposed to connect on the set of one of her music videos in 2015, the Tennessee native revealed during a Q&A session five years later. “I was supposed to be in her music video because she was an artist as well, and it couldn’t happen because my show was the same day as the music video. So, a year goes by and the same guy that we were working with brings her to a show,” he explained. Instead, they connected when a mutual friend brought Katelyn along to one of Kane’s first concerts in 2016, according to People. “I maybe said ‘Hey’ to her – but I thought she was adorable, looking at her all night,” he admitted, noting they weren’t able to talk much then. “I asked her to come to Nashville like the next day. I flew her down and we just, we hit it off and she never left.”

They Wed in 2018 After an Unexpectedly Spooky Proposal and Now Share Three Children

While performing a concert in Katelyn’s home state, Kane Brown broke the news of his engagement. Though he initially planned to take the romantic route, laying out “rose petals and everything like that,” the singer-songwriter instead popped the question while they watched The Amityville Horror, which he admits was “weird.” The Browns wed on Oct. 12, 2018 in Franklin, Tennessee, with 200 of their closest friends and family members present. “We decided to exchange letters to each other earlier in the day and keep the actual vows a little more traditional,” they told People of their big day.

The couple’s first daughter, Kingsley, was born in 2019, and has played a huge role in some of her parents’ creative projects. For instance, Katelyn joined forces with Australian company Amore + Sorvete to design a swimwear collection including matching kids sets which she modeled alongside her daughter in 2021. The year after, the Brown family matriarch launched Allen Rose wine – the name combining her middle moniker with Kane’s. To make the collaboration extra special, they named their first products, a white and rosé, after Kingsley and their second-born daughter, Kodi Jane. More recently, the clan added a boy – Krewe – in July 2024.

Kane Brown’s Wife Loves Collaborating With Him

Outside of building a family with Katelyn, Kane Brown also likes to include his wife in his work as an artist. She and Kingsley appear in his 2020 music video for “Worship You,” and in 2022, fans finally got to hear the country couple’s voices together on “Thank God” from his Different Man LP. They performed the song together for the first time at his sold-out concert in Ottawa, Ontario that December and have since taken the duet to the stage at the 2023 CMT Awards and Stagecoach music festival.

“My fans have been waiting five years for us to sing together… There [were] actually four [other songs] that we had,” Kane told People at the time. “I was like, ‘Babe, you’re going to be on this one, or this one or this one.’ And then ‘Thank God’ came in and I was like, ‘This is the one.’ And she said the same thing, but I’m so glad I waited for this particular one to come out.” He added, “I keep telling everybody she’s my secret weapon, but this song is just, like, us. I feel like it’s any relationship song or anybody that’s married or going to get married just knows. It’s like, ‘God put you in my life for a reason.'”

Katelyn Brown Proudly Holds a Degree in Music Business

Before she became Kane Brown’s wife, Katelyn was a student at Pennsylvania’s West Chester University. She dropped out after one year to pursue her own music career, inking a management deal with Johnny Wright (known for working with Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys, among others) to release singles like “Perfect” and “24KT.” Once she found the man of her dreams, Katelyn put a halt on her dreams to join him on the road, but after their wedding, the mother of three felt the call to head back to school.

Through plenty of hard work, Katelyn Brown obtained an undergraduate degree from Berklee College of Music’s Online Music Business program. “Finishing my education was the most rewarding thing I have done for myself thus far,” she wrote on Instagram while celebrating her accomplishments. “If you are thinking whether or not your going to get your degree or if you can get through the years of college… DO IT!”
