RuPaul’s Drag Race Season Premiere

Let’s start off with Lizzo’s first venture this year: being a guest host on RuPaul’s Drag Race in January. The queen stunned audiences as she usually does with her unique and colorful styles. Her futuristic outfit styled by Marko Monroe and her performance on the reality show sent fans into a frenzy. But it wasn’t the last time we got to see the pop star.

It’s as if March came and Lizzo went full throttle. The singer’s own reality competition show, “Watch Out for the Big Grrrls,” debuted on Amazon Prime Video and fans couldn’t get enough. The series follows a group of plus sized women competing to join Lizzo’s “Big Grrrls” background dancers.

Although Amazon Prime doesn’t release streaming numbers, fans on twitter have done nothing but rave about the show. Many have even discussed how it has changed their lives.

On the second weekend of Coachella, Harry Styles brought out Lizzo to perform with him at the festival. The two were draped in colorful ‘fits and sand “I Will Survive.” This marks the first time Lizzo graced the Coachella stage and hopefully it won’t be the last!

Pulling double duty on Saturday Night Live

Ya’ll tired yet? Because I am exhausted just watching Lizzo achieve all the boss goals! The singer then took to studio 8H at Rockerfeller Plaza to host and perform on Saturday Night Live. The words “ladies and gentleman… me” never sounded so pleasing to my ears before Lizzo said it to introduce her musical performance on stage!

After hosting on SNL, Lizzo then announced her new album “Special” will be available for fans this summer! Only to then announce a tour a few days later. The North American leg of “The Special Tour” will kick off in September in Florida and will travel across the country for 25 shows.

Lizzo’s newest single “About Damn Time” has been making it’s rounds on the internet not only becuase it’s catchy but because Tiktok is eating it up! Along with its corresponding dance challenge, users have been using the sound with all of their videos. If you haven’t heard it by now, it’s shocking, being that it has currently been used on the app 1.8 million times!

Lizzo is getting an HBO Max Documentary

HBO Max recently announced that the singer will be getting a documentary following the years it took her to become an overnight star. While not many details have been released yet, we do know that it will be directed by Doug Pray, executive producer of HBO’s “The Defiant Ones” and will release this fall!
