Here it is — I’m breaking out my secret weapon ladies: a homemade deep conditioning hair treatment made with coconut oil and rosemary.

Finding the right hair products can be super tricky and costly at times. So, trying to figure out what works well for you can become very expensive, very quickly. That’s why I have decided to use homemade remedies and products. It’s easier than what you’d expect. Not to mention you get to control the number of chemicals in them, and let's be real, in an ideal world that would be virtually zero chemicals.

That's why I’m here to tell you about hair spray. Yes, that's right!

Hair spray has come a long way, sis — from the aerosol cans that made us gag and simultaneously worry about our contribution to the gigantic hole in the ozone layer. Well luckily, we don’t have to worry about that craziness anymore. What this hair spray will do is hydrate and strengthen your hair as opposed to most hairsprays on the market.

So try this homemade natural alternative the next time you are looking to prevent fly-aways and moisturize at the same time.

Ingredients

– 2 tablespoons coconut oil

– 3 to 4 drops rosemary essential oil

– 2 cups distilled water

Directions

1. Melt the coconut oil

2. Add to a spray bottle along with the distilled water and essential oil.

3. As with most oils, make sure to shake well before each use. Separation is all a part of the process.

4.  Spritz on damp or dry hair.
