Rapper and actress Queen Latifah is sending prayers and praises to Jamie Foxx. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 53-year-old disclosed her admiration for Foxx, saying that Foxx is “one of the nicest people that you’ve ever met.”. Latifah also said she was “praying hard” for the 55-year-old actor who battled a medical emergency back in April. Her interview with ET was done to celebrate some of Queen Latifah’s milestones.

In April, she became the first-ever female to be inducted into the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry with her iconic debut album, All Hail the Queen, released in 1989.

“I don’t know if I’ve had a chance to wrap my mind around a lot of things lately. My mind has been in so many places, but when the plaque came to my house, I looked at it and was like, ‘Wow…this is history. This is literally history.’ But I’m surprised that I’m the first woman to be honest with you,” she told ET.

While talking about Jamie Foxx and his impact in the creative industry, Queen Latifah shared that, “He is secretly behind so many people’s success in music, in Hollywood.” She also went to on describe Foxx as a unicorn.

“If you aired a whole show on him you’d be surprised how many people had been put on because they came by Jamie’s house and they invited him over to play piano or make some beats or make some music,” Latifah said. “I hear so many kind stories about people who tour with him and how he treated them so respectfully and made sure they were all taken care of.”

In May, Jamie Foxx and his daughter, Corinne Foxx announced that they would be co-hosting a family game show in 2024. On April 12, Foxx, took to her Instagram story to share that her dad was dealing with a medical emergency. The incident left him hospitalized for a week.

Corinne Foxx later shared that her dad had been discharged from the hospital in May and was in good health.
